Major Roger Senn - Pastor -

     Major Roger Senn was born and raised in Superior Wisconsin.  He grew up in the Salvation Army Corps there, enjoying the heritage of a fine Scandinavian Corps.  Roger entered the School for Officer Training in 1972 and it is there that he met his wife Cecilia.

     Roger was commissioned to The School for Officers Training as a training officer in 1974.  He and Cecilia were married on June 21, 1975 and they went to their first appointment as a married couple as Corps Officers of the Lincoln, Illinois Corps.  Major Roger and Major Cecilia have held appointments in various Corps, ARC's, and two Divisonal Headquarters. 

     Both Roger and Cecilia are very excited about being appointed as Corps officers of Gateway Citadel and look forward to a long appointment here.

 
Major Cecilia Senn - Pastor -

Major Cecilia Senn was born in Atmore Alabama. Cecilia lived in various parts of the Southern and Central territories.  She entered The School for Officer Training in 1972 as a cadet of the "Followers of Christ" session.

It was while she was in training that she met Roger. Cecilia was commissioned as a Salvation Army Officer in 1974 and was commissioned to Oshkosh Wisconsin as the Assistant Corps Officer. Cecila and Roger were married on June 21, 1975. Their first appointment as the Senn's was as the Corps Officers of the Lincoln Illinois Corps.

They have two children, a son Caleb (30) who along with his wife Stephanie, are the Corps Officers in Warren Michigan, and a daughter Sarah (27)  married to George Blackman. George and Sarah reside in Kentucky and have one son, Jalen (6) and they are now expecting their second child.
Cecilia and Roger have three grandsons - Jalen Michael Blackman, Brighton Andrew Senn and Liam Benjamin Senn.

Major Cecilia is very happy to be here at Gateway Citadel and is excited in what lies ahead for her and Roger.

 
Doris Miller - Office Manager -

Doris is widowed after many wonderful years of marriage to her husband Clyde.  Doris attended Roosevelt High School in St. Louis and was employed as the Office Manager  at the Carondelet Corps for 7 years. She continues her office duties at Gateway Citadel 

Testimony:  "The Salvation Army has been my church all of my life.  I believe in what we stand for and our mission.  I feel privileged to be able to hlep my church because i consider my job as a ministry."
 
John Piatt - Corps Program Director -

John is married to his wonderful wife, Diane, and is the father of two children.  Diane and John also have two grandchildren.  John and Diane are both life-time Salvationists. 

John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Psychology and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville (SIUE).

The Gateway Corps has been John's home since November 2003.  He has worked as Program Director here since August 2004.  Prior to that, he had worked a cumulative total of six year at the Corps in Belleville, Ilinois and Elyria, Ohio.

Testimony:  "After twenty-six years in the United States Air Force and a few other positions, I desired a position that would allow me to work full time in God's service.  I really enjoy my roles with both adults and children, from occasional preaching opportunities to computer training with the kids."
 
Mary Justvig - Social Services Director

Mary has been married for 14 years to her husband, Major Dick Justvig (ret). She has 2 children, Scott and Valerie. 

Mary attended Clinton High School in Iowa. She graduated from Cheighton University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. In 1985 Mary received her Masters degree in Social Work from St. Louis University. 

Mary has been employed at the Salvation Army for 4 1/2 yrs.

Connie Reker - Community Center Director

Connie is single and is a graduate of Mehlville High School in St. Louis.  She received her Bachelor of Science degree in health, Physical Education & Recreation from Southeast MO University.

Connie has been employed at the Salvation Army for an incredible "32" years.

Larry Nolan - Custodian
Larry is married to his wonderful wife Diana. He has three children of his own and two step children. 

Larry has been employed by the Salvation Army for almost 2 years.

Testimonial:  "This is a good, safe place to work.  I work with wonderful people and it doesn't matter where I'm at working - they are all wonderful, even the kids that come in during the afternoon."
 
Lana Halwe - Community Center Afternoon Receptionist

After receiving her Associate's Degree in Business at SIU, Edwardsville, Illinois, Lana worked for various companies.  She has been married for 27 years and for the last 23 years has been a stay-at-home mom, raising her 2 daughters, volunteering as often as possible.  She was especially active as a Girl Scout Co-Leader, Elementary School Class Aid, Middle School Library Assistant, High School Book Store Co-Cordinator and for many other school and church functions.

Kim Bragado - Community Center Evening Receptionist

Kim is a graduate of Fontbonne University in St. Louis, Missouri, where she completed her Bachelor of Arts degree (Magna Cum Laude) in Communication Art.  Her work experience includes a journalism internship at a past major retail corporation, and a public relations internship at Fleishman-Hillard, Inc.  She has been employed at The Salvation Army since June 2006.
